Juniors Return for Pre-Season



Junior Dragons Pre-Season Training Kicks Off This Wednesday at Sunnybank

Get ready for an exciting 2025 rugby season as Junior Dragons pre-season training officially begins this Wednesday, February 12th, for U12-U16 players!

The first training session will be held at Biggs Fields starting at 5:30pm, welcoming both new and experienced players who are eager to kickstart their preparation for the upcoming season.

 

Training Dates & Details

  • U12-U16: Wednesdays and Fridays, starting February 12th

  • U10-U11: Fridays, starting February 14th

  • U6-U9: Fridays, starting February 21st

All junior players are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible to ensure they are well-prepared for the season ahead. Pre-season training is essential for developing the skills necessary for success and safety, especially for contact rugby. The sessions will focus on building strength, agility, and technique, helping our players hit the ground running when the season begins.

 

What to Bring:

  • Water bottle

  • Runners or footy boots

  • Club training shirt (received on registration)

  • Mouthguards (required for U8s and above)

  • Headgear and/or shoulder pads (optional)

 

Custom Mouthguards Available Through Aperture Dental

Mouthguards are a vital safety tool, especially for tackling. This season, Aperture Dental is again partnering with the Dragons to offer custom-made mouthguards. Families with private health insurance can access a no-gap deal.
