Sunnybank Rugby Union participates in the Brisbane Junior Rugby competition, where U12 - U18 Junior Girls participate in Rugby XVs, 10s and 7s competition formats throughout Term 2 - Term 4. As we continue to grow our Girls Rugby program, we would love for you to be involved!

Our Girls program is open to players of any skill level, with a focus on game understanding, developing individual & position-specific skills and having fun with friends/team mates.

XV's Junior Girls (U12 - U18): $365* + transaction fee

7's Junior Girls (U12 - U18): $185* + transaction fee

* Season registration fee includes:

  • Rugby Australia, Brisbane Junior Rugby Union and Queensland Rugby Union Levies

  • Player Insurance

  • Referee and Match fees

  • Training shirt, playing shorts and club socks

  • Team jerseys

  • Medical support on game days

  • End of season presentation

  • Field maintenance

  • Club Administration

Game Days

Games are held on Sundays for U12 - U18 Junior Girls competitions. 

 

Brisbane Junior Rugby Union is committed to growing the game of rugby for girls and providing them with meaningful options to play. The BJRU structure for Junior Girls (U12 - U18) is through three term seasons, covering XVs Rugby, and 7s Rugby.

GIRLS

  • Games are played on Sundays.

  • Pre-Season Training Starts:  Wednesday 7 February. Training is twice per week on Wednesday and Friday nights.

  • Pre-Season BJRU XVs Skill Development Sessions: 3, 10, 17 and 24 March

  • Grading Rounds: 21, 28 April and 5, 12 May

  • Competition Dates Gem XVs: Starts 21 April - 2 June

  • Competition Dates Girls 7s: Starts 14 July - 25 August

  • Finals Dates: Girls 7s Semi Finals 25 August, Grand Final 1 September

  • Note: There are NO games during the school holidays

All full season & training-only registrations are completed online through Rugby Xplorer.

  • Login using your email and password

  • Click Register in the menu options

  • Click Find a Club

  • When asked 'Who would you like to register?' click on the correct profile to be registered​

    • Each player will need to be registered separately​

    • New players will need to click Link a New Person

  • Search Sunnybank Junior Rugby Club ​

    • For U12 - U18 Girls, select XVs Girls for Registration type

  • Follow the prompts and update personal details (if necessary)

  • Update or fill in any additional details

  • Update or fill in any emergency contact details

  • Tick 'I have read and agree to the National terms and conditions' box

  • Pay registration when prompted at the gateway by credit/debit card or ZipPay options.

  • Once complete, Registration Successful will pop up to confirm your registration.
