Sunnybank Rugby is proud to announce the re-launch of the Mick Ramsay Academy ahead of the 2025 season. Open to male and female players starting their Junior Colts journey, our Academy aims to provide additional performance rugby opportunities, in conjunction with wider learning opportunities as part of a player’s personal development. Exposure to our senior programme, lead coaches and focused club and community connection, the Mick Ramsay Academy aims to develop the player holistically, give them meaningful experiences and elevate their performance on the field.

 

Key Dates:  

• November 12 2024 – Expressions of Interest Open

• November 28 2024 – Expressions of Interest Closes

• Mid December 2024 – Invites extended to players

• January 2025 – Mick Ramsay Academy commences

 

What to expect:

• Academy programme running across the whole of 2025 calendar – ensuring sessions
  are spread out to alleviate pressures of existing commitments and opportunities.

• Maximum 30 players in the cohort – ensuring a personalised experience for growth.

• Up to 6 performance rugby sessions, including Core 4 and Specialist Skills opportunities.

• S&C programmes for the players throughout the season.

• Minimum 4 workshops focused around mental health, nutrition, analysis and recovery.

• Club connection and community give back opportunities – getting involved and giving back.

• Exposure to Senior and Premier Rugby programmes at Sunnybank Rugby – giving you a taste of what is to come!
